About Cotati

Cotati is one of the smallest cities in Sonoma County, immediately south of Rohnert Park along Highway 101. Its claim to fame is La Plaza, one of only two hexagonal plazas in the United States. The downtown has an independent, music-loving spirit that has carried through generations.

The hexagonal plaza

Cotati's six-sided central plaza is the architectural signature of the town and a great place for events, including the long-running Cotati Accordion Festival.

A small downtown that punches above its weight

Despite its size, Cotati has a real downtown with independent music venues, restaurants, and small shops. It's the kind of place where you can know the proprietors by name pretty quickly.

Easy access to neighbors

Cotati sits at a natural crossroads in southern Sonoma County, with quick access to Rohnert Park, Petaluma, and the wine country to the north.

Schools

Cotati is served by the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District. School assignments depend on the address and current boundaries, which can change. Confirm with the district directly before any school-related decision.
